15/40 – A Snapshot of Recent Dutch Design
15/40 – A Snapshot of Recent Dutch Design highlighted a selection of the best Dutch design from the exhibition “O Palácio do Povo” which was shown at the Design Bienal of Brasil Florianopolis 2015. The exhibition was part of the MADE Design Fair Sao Paulo, which took place in August 2015, and was opened by Dutch Minister of Education, Science and Culture, Jet Bussemaker. All 15 exhibited works were objects of everyday use created by young Dutch designers. Different in function, style and looks, however all designers share a smart way of addressing specific social problems. Weather it is the problem of the lack of energy, loneliness amongst immigrants or the problem of hooliganism, all exhibited objects find smart and creative solutions for social problems.
